Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive juvenile male victim suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was transported for treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Benton Police Department responded to A2Z Collision in reference to a breaking or entering in progress at approximately 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. The suspect, identified as 36-year-old David Welch of Benton, was apprehended at the scene.
