On 9/5/13, at approximately 1:38 AM, officers responded to a 911 call of a disturbance on Cedarhurst Drive. Upon their arrival they made contact with the victim, and witnesses, who said that a suspect had physically attacked her and caused bodily harm.
On August 31st, at approximately 5:15 PM, officers responded to a residence on Lillian Street upon report of a disturbance with a weapon. Upon their arrival they made contact with the victim who reported they had been threatened by a suspect with a razor.

On 8/28/13, at approximately 5:40 PM, an officer was on patrol in the 1200 block of W. South St. when they observed a vehicle with an illegible license plate expiration. After running the license through dispatch it was determined the vehicle was reported stolen.

On 8/25/13, at approximately 11:54 AM, an officer with the Benton Police Department was conducting routine patrol in the area of S. First St. when he observed a suspicious person leaning over some power tools near them. The officer stopped to investigate further and when going to make contact with the suspect, another citizen informed him they just saw the suspect leave the backyard of a neighbor’s residence.

On 8/19/13, at approximately 8:00 PM, officers made contact with a business owner about a possible phone scam. The owner informed the officer they had received numerous phone calls from somebody claiming to be with Entergy Arkansas and telling them they were behind on their bill. The scam artist also told them if they didn’t pay the bill immediately their power would be shut off within the hour
