Recently, it has come to our attention through members of the community that they would like to see more of a presence in city parks due to various issues and concerns.

On 5/23/14, at approximately 8:35 PM, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to the 400 block of Ashby Street on report of a possible burglary in progress call. Upon their arrival, it was determined that a burglary was indeed taking place.

The Benton Police Department is asking for the public’s help in solving a missing person cold case that dates back to May, 2013. The missing woman, Sarah Mondragon, was last known to be living at the I-30 travel park in Benton when she was reported missing by her family.
