On 7/21/14, officers with the Benton Police Department took a report of a possible attempted kidnapping involving a juvenile.    

On 4/21/14, officers with the Benton Police Department took 12 reports of vehicle break-ins and thefts in the area around Millbrook Drive and Heritage Farms neighborhood.  Per standard procedures, officers collected and processed potential evidence from the vehicles.

On Sunday, July 27th, officers with the Benton Police Department took a report of a commercial burglary and theft that took place at the hotel construction site located next to the Benton Event Center (17322 Interstate 30).

On 7/28/14, at approximately 9:40 AM, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to the area of South St. at the intersection of Main St. on report of an attempted kidnapping.

Recently, officers with the Benton Police Department attended the Arkansas Safe Schools Conference in North Little Rock. This was the 10th year for this conference to be held and the purpose of it is to provide officers and school administrators with information and ideas to help keep children safe in their learning environment.

Recently, detectives with the Benton Police Department arrested Matthew Sporer (19 YOA) of Benton for charges related to a burglary and multiple theft of property cases.
