Wiliams KhalilAt approximately 10:32 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2017, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to 221 Gunn Street for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival officers located an unresponsive male with a gunshot wound lying in the doorway of a residence.

The victim was transported to Baptist Health Medical Center via Medflight.

Benton badge 1At approximately 9:37 p.m. Thursday, August 10, officers with the Benton Police Department were dispatched to Tractor Supply Company, located at 17318 Interstate 30, for a report of an armed robbery. Store employees said the suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction and officers were not able to locate the suspect.
