BNPD officers were made aware of a possible threat against Angie Grant Elementary late Tuesday/ early Wednesday. The suspect was identified and brought in for questioning early Wednesday.
Further investigation revealed that 61-year-old William Boyd, of Benton, had sent the messages in question, and he was subsequently charged with Communicating a False Alarm.
The suspect was in police custody during school hours, and after detectives’ investigation, it was determined there was not an actual threat.
