BNPD MAKES ARRESTS IN RECENT BREAKING OR ENTERING INCIDENTS

Two suspects were taken into custody early Monday morning in reference to multiple Breaking or Entering incidents in the city of Benton.

Twenty-year-old Zavier Rhodes, of North Little Rock, and a juvenile male, also of North Little Rock, were taken into custody following a report of subjects breaking into vehicles in the Eagle Point subdivision. A vehicle pursuit followed and concluded when the suspects wrecked out and fled on foot.

Further investigation revealed the vehicle driven by the suspects was stolen from Conway prior to the breaking or entering incidents. Investigators were able to link the two suspects to 16 breaking or entering incidents in Benton, including previous incidents that occurred the night of July 26 and resulted in stolen credit cards being used at Bryant Walmart.

Rhodes was charged with the following: one count of Theft by Receiving (B/F); one count of Unauthorized Use of Another Person’s Property to Facilitate a Crime (B/F); 16 counts of Breaking or Entering (D/F); 11 counts of Theft of Property (D/F); 10 counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit/Debit Card (D/F); 8 counts of Theft by Receiving (D/F); one count of Fleeing in Vehicle (D/F); 3 counts of Theft of Property (A/M); 2 counts of Criminal Mischief 2nd (A/M); 2 counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor (A/M); and one count of Fleeing on Foot (A/M). The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
