Benton Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop Wednesday near Lincoln and Military Roads on a suspect wanted in a recent residential burglary incident. Eric Stewart, 39, of Little Rock, was non-compliant during the stop and fled from officers via I-30 eastbound. The pursuit concluded near Chicot and Baseline Roads in Little Rock, where Stewart was taken into custody by BNPD and LRPD officers without further incident.
Stewart faces charges of Aggravated Assault; Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule VI; Criminal Mischief 2nd; two counts of Residential Burglary; two counts of Theft of Property; two counts of Theft by Receiving; Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons; Fleeing by Vehicle with Extreme Indifference; Reckless Driving; Failure to Stop at Stop Sign; and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident.
