SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR WARRANT WITH NEW ORLEANS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Ventry Michael DeshoneA suspect wanted in New Orleans, La. was arrested by Benton Police Department officers Saturday morning. Michael Deshone Ventry, 28, is awaiting extradition to Louisiana at the Saline County Detention Center.

Officers were called to the area of Ralph Bunche Park at approximately 1:47 a.m. Saturday, April 23 for possible shots fired. While searching the area, officers noticed a vehicle parked in the roadway at S. East St. and Johnson St. and a man sitting in the driver’s seat. After making contact with the driver, Ventry, it was discovered that Ventry had a warrant from New Orleans Police Department.

Ventry was taken into custody and transported to the Saline County Detention Center. Ventry faces a felony charge of Failure to Comply with Registration of a Sex Offender.
