WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY FORGING PRESCRIPTIONS

Cardenas Camila CristinaA Benton resident was arrested by officers with the Benton Police Department for allegedly forging prescriptions at a local pharmacy. Camila Cristina Cardenas, 26, faces three counts of class C felony 2nd degree Forgery, two counts of class D felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, and two counts of class C felony Controlled Substance Fraudulent Practices.

At approximately 8:34 a.m. Monday, March 14, Benton officers responded to West Side Pharmacy in reference to a woman attempting to fill a forged prescription. The West Side Pharmacy employees told officers that Cardenas was in the store attempting to fill a prescription for 90 Oxycodone and it was verified that the prescription was forged.

Officers seized an alleged forged prescription, five blank scripts and five used syringes from a purse belonging to Cardenas. Officers also retrieved three suspected forged prescriptions from West Side Pharmacy.
