SUSPECT ARRESTED WITH FIREARM STOLEN FROM RECENT VEHICLE BREAK-IN

DIGGS DeuntaeOn 6/8/15, detectives with the Benton Police Department arrested a suspect, identified as De’untae’ Diggs (19 YOA) of Little Rock, in relation to possession of a stolen firearm.  
 
Detectives were diligently working leads in recent vehicle break-ins and thefts whenever they obtained information and evidence that led them to Diggs being a possible suspect. Utilizing various department resources, including K-9’s and undercover officers, Diggs was subsequently taken into custody on 6/8 at approximately 3:30 PM without incident. 
 
A firearm that was reported stolen by an individual in the Miller Cove subdivision during the night of June 5th was recovered during the investigation.  There were other vehicles broken into during the same time frame and detectives are still working leads in those cases.  
 
Diggs was transported to the Saline County Detention Facility for processing without incident.  He is charged with Theft by Receiving, Unlawful Procurement of a Firearm, Computer Fraud, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.  This is an on-going investigation and additional charges could be forthcoming.
