Lt. Mike Connell and Lt. Jeff Kling of the Benton Police Department, and Lt. Ron Parsons of the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, all graduated from the ARKANSAS LEADER Session XXIV class on June 12th. The ARKANSAS LEADER program, which is designed for chiefs, sheriffs, and other upper-level leaders within a law enforcement agency, takes a multi-faceted, dynamic approach to leadership training. Recognizing that attendees are not only leaders of their agencies but also within their communities, the course is designed to advance individual professional development and education that is transferable to their respective organizations and communities.

This ARKANSAS LEADER program emphasizes challenges of leadership, advancement of the law enforcement profession, development of the individual and agency, and enhancing community relationships. Nationally recognized conference speakers and presenters are selected to ensure law enforcement executives are informed not only of practical procedures for managing their agency, but also of the latest trends, technology, and problems impacting our society.

The ARKANSAS LEADER program is jointly sponsored by the Criminal Justice Institute and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The program has been designated a Command College of the FBI and is by invitation only.
