TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO METHAMPHETAMINE DELIVERY ARREST

JefferyKilpatrickOn 4/22/15, at approximately 12:49 AM, an officer with the Benton Police Department observed a vehicle do a U-turn in the middle of an intersection at Valley View Dr. and Carpenter St., and noticed they also failed to use proper signals.  
 
The officer then conducted a traffic stop on the North Service Road of I-30 near the 117 on-ramp.  Contact was then made with the driver, Jeffery Kilpatrick (45 YOA) of Little Rock, and a passenger.  During subsequent investigation, the officer discovered a plastic baggie containing 14.9 grams of a crystal-like substance, believed to be Methamphetamine.  Further investigation also revealed another 2.4 grams of suspected Methamphetamine and also a small amount of Marijuana.  
 
Kilpatrick was placed under arrest and transported to the Benton Police Department for further investigation.  He was later booked into the Saline County Detention Facility for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver (Felony) and Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor).  This is an on-going investigation and additional charges could be possible.
