All three suspects have been charged with 10 counts of Breaking and Entering, and 2 counts of Residential Burglary. The 10 counts come from the suspects breaking into vehicles and the 2 counts of burglary resulted from them breaking into homes. The two minors were turned over to juvenile authorities and Mr. Lee was placed into custody and is currently incarcerated. These charges were a result of joint investigation between Benton and Bryant detectives that started with an arrest on 10/26. The investigation is still on-going with additional charges possible. Charges against additional suspects are anticipated and charges in additional jurisdictions are also possible. Most of the thefts took place when vehicles were left unlocked at residences. We encourage everyone to lock their vehicles and not leave valuables in plain view to help curb these types of crimes in the future. Anyone with further information relating to these crimes is strongly encouraged to contact the Benton Police Department at 778-1171 or the Bryant Police Department at 847-0211. |
