| Bryant and Benton Police Arrest Three Suspects for Felony Narcotic Charges |

Officers with the Benton Police Department’s Special Investigative Unit, comprised of officers from Benton and Bryant Police, arrested three suspects On 8/26/11, officers arrested Ryan Reilly (W/M, 21 YOA) of Benton, Derrick Watts (B/M, 37 YOA) of Alexander, and Brandy Wedsted (W/F, 25 YOA) of Alexander at the Bryant Wal-Mart Supercenter. Their arrest follows a month’s long investigation that culminated with the delivery of marijuana to the Wal-Mart parking lot where they were apprehended. When the subjects were arrested, officers discovered they had their 2 ½ month old baby with them. The baby was turned over to officials with DHS for caretaking. They were found to have ¼ lb. of marijuana in their possession and $1,170 in cash that was seized by officers. Ryan Reilly was charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, and Use of Communications Device to Facilitate a Crime. Derrick Watts was charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, Driving on a Suspended License, and Terroristic Threatening. Brandy Wedsted was charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor. All three subjects were transported to the Saline County Detention Facility for processing.
