On 7/26/11, at approximately 2:15 PM, officers responded to 2100 Henry Street on report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officer Teague and Corporal New learned that a white male subject had taken off running towards a nearby pond. While looking for the subject they saw a white male matching his description in the pond. The subject appeared to be holding himself under water in an attempt to drown himself and would not obey their requests to come out of the water. After trying to talk to the subject it became apparent to them he would not respond. The subject then went under water and they feared he was possibly drowning so they ran into the water and pulled the subject successfully out. He was then transported to Saline Memorial Hospital for an evaluation without further incident. |
