The Benton Police Department is investigating the robbery of Summit Bank located at 1114 Hwy 35 North. 

On June 30th, at approximately 2:39 PM, officers responded to report of a robbery that had just taken place at the bank.  The suspect is described as being a white male, approximately 30-40 years old, 5’8” to 6’ tall, with light brown hair.  He was last seen wearing a black ‘Derby style’ hat, green button-up shirt, black sports jacket, glasses, light colored blue jeans, and black shoes. 

 

The suspect did display a pistol during the robbery and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.  A possible vehicle description the suspect was driving was an early 1990’s model Chevrolet S-10, maroon in color with a large white stripe down the side going front to back.
