Benton Police Arrest Suspect in Stabbing Print

On 3/1/11, at approximately 11:10 PM, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to 601 N. Summit #1 in reference to a stabbing.   Contact was made with the victim, Terrance Worth (W/M, 30 YOA), who had visible, non-life threatening injuries consistent with an edged weapon. 

 

    It was determined that the suspect in the case was David Merikas (W/M, 57 YOA).  Merikas was not located at the scene, but officers were able to locate him at a later time and he was place into custody without issue. Merikas was transported to the Saline County Detention Facility for processing and was charged with 1st Degree Battery (Felony).
