| Benton Police Make an Arrest Related to Recent Burglary |

On 1/27/11, at approximately 9:21 PM, officers responded to 1317 S. East Street on report of a residential burglary. Contact was made with the victim who reported that forced entry was made into her home and approximately $1,000 worth of items were taken.
Detectives were able to locate and arrest a suspect in the case, Richard Norris Jr. (B/M, 24 YOA), on 1/28/11. Norris was taken into custody and charged with Residential Burglary (Felony) and Theft of Property (Felony). The importance of making sure you look out for your neighbor is paramount in these situations. We are strongly encouraging anyone who witnesses anything suspicious or out of the ordinary to please call the police department.
