On January 4th, at approximately 11:48 AM, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to 1719 Deerfield Drive on report of a burglary in progress. 

    The victim reported that she was in her living room of her residence when she heard a loud bang at her front door.  She then observed that a suspect had forced her front door open and upon seeing her, he fled the residence. 

    The suspect was described as being a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, medium build, and wearing a brown hooded jacket and blue jeans.  He fled the area in a silver passenger car.  A thorough search of the area was conducted and the suspect is still being sought at this time.
