On 12/16/10, at approximately 5:03 AM, officers responded to 900 Block of Schley St. on report of suspicious activity in the area. 

    Upon arrival officers observed a subject, later identified as Jason Neal (W/M, 34 YOA), speed off on an ATV at a high rate of speed without any lights on.  Officers later found Neal and he was subsequently arrested.  Another individual who was with Neal, later identified as Steven Beck (W/M, 36 YOA), was found behind a home at 921 Schley Street and was placed under arrest.  It was determined during our investigation that the ATV was stolen and Mr. Beck was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine. 

    Both subjects were transported to the Saline County Detention Facility for processing and charged with Theft by Receiving (Felony), Criminal Mischief, and Possession of an Instrument of Crime.  Additionally, Beck was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Neal was charged with Fleeing by Vehicle, Driving on a Suspended License, and Careless/Prohibited Driving.
