The Saline County Hometown Health Coalition Substance Use & Abuse Subcommittee will be hosting “The Parents Institute” on Oct. 29th, 2009 at 6:00 PM. The class will be held at Saline Memorial Hospital in the Health Education Room. The focus of the class is to empower the family as a tool to help prevent substance use and abuse before it even becomes a problem. Some of the topics that will be discussed include; Substance Abuse Realities, Gang Fears, Enforcement Efforts, and Steps for a Healthy Family. The class is free for any resident of Saline County and refreshments will be provided.
