On May 21st, 2009 the Benton Police Department arrested Troy H. White (W/M, 66 YOA) of Benton for numerous child sex related crimes. Mr. White has been charged with Sexual Indecency with a Child (D-Felony), Computer Exploitation of a Child (B-Felony), and Computer Child Pornography (B-Felony).

This arrest is the result of a joint investigation between the Benton Police Department and the Chesterfield County Police Department in Virginia. Officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department first encountered Mr. White during an undercover operation on a “chat” website. Mr. White engaged in sexually explicit conversations and web camera chats with what he thought was a 14 year old female. He also displayed pornography over the internet to the “14 year old” and made sexually graphic comments towards her. Detectives with the Benton Police Department then obtained a warrant for Mr. White’s arrest. No physical contact took place between Mr. White and the “juvenile” in this case.
