SUSPECTS CAUGHT BREAKING INTO MACHINE AT BUSINESS

On 10/01/14, at approximately 9:40 PM, Benton Police Department patrol officers responded to Brown’s Car Wash (1118 Edison Ave.) on report of a witness observing subjects breaking into coin machines there. 
 
Upon their arrival, officers made contact with two suspects, James McCool (38 YOA) and Jessica Higgins (28 YOA) of Benton.  Based on information and evidence that officers found at the scene, McCool and Higgins were subsequently placed under arrest for attempting to break into coin machines at the business.  
 
McCool and Higgins are both charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Breaking or Entering. This is an on-going investigation and additional charges could be forthcoming.
