DISTURBANCE CALL RESULTS IN TWO SUSPECTS BEING ARRESTED

BentonPolice DeptCoin Arkansas BACK-1On 4/9/14, at approximately 9:22 PM, officers responded to a call of a possible disturbance in the area of the I-30 S. Service Road and Old Congo Road. Upon their arrival in the area they located two subjects at the Shell Station (17939 I-30) and noticed one of them had blood on them.

The two subjects were later identified as being Aaron McGee (25 YOA) and Brooke Treanor (24 YOA). During further investigation it was determined a physical altercation had taken place between them. At some point while arguing, Treanor displayed a pistol and knife and they started fighting over control of the weapons. McGee ended up with minor cuts, but no further violence took place prior to officers’ arrival. A pistol and knife were found at the scene and taken for evidentiary purposes.

 

McGee was arrested and charged with 3rd Degree Domestic Battery, Interference with an Emergency Communication Device and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Treanor was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The drug paraphernalia charges stem from a pipe located at the scene containing suspected illegal narcotic residue.
