BNPD ASKS PUBLIC TO HELP IDENTIFY THEFT SUSPECT

Maurices 3Detectives with the Benton Police Department are asking the public to help identify a suspect from a recent theft from a business. The suspect in the picture allegedly stole items from two different purses and left the area in a dark gray Ford Explorer.

At approximately 7:22 p.m. Friday, March 25, officers responded to the Maurices store on Ferguson Drive for a theft that previously occurred. Employees said two black females and two children entered the store, purchased items and then exited. Employees said one of the females wearing a black T-shirt, red capri pants and white shoes came back into the store and began looking around.

An employee told officers that she heard the female enter a back room and then found here standing next to a purse. When questioned, the female claimed to be looking for a cellphone, which was not located. After the female left, two employees discovered that items were missing from their purses.

Anyone with information about this incident or can identify the suspect is encouraged to contact the Benton Police Department at 501-778-1171 or 501-315-TIPS.
