This public safety announcement was the original idea and screenplay of Ken Casady, the Saline County Prosecutor. It was a collaborative effort between his office, the Benton Police Department, and the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers from the Benton Police Department played the roles featured in the video, including Batman, and also handled the videography aspect of it. The final editing was done by The Producer’s Studio in Little Rock.
Although this video is lighthearted, the underlying reason for the video is not near as humorous. Prescription drug overdose deaths are an epidemic in the U.S. and we encourage everyone to be the hero in their own bathroom by taking the time to clean out their old medicine and dispose of it properly.
