FOLLOWUP INVESTIGATION LEADS TO NEW CHARGES ON ONE SUSPECT AND ADDITIONAL COUNTS ON ANOTHER

While conducting a follow-up investigation into vehicle break-ins that occurred on 12/25/14, detectives with the Benton Police Department discovered additional information and evidence about two suspects.  
 
One of the suspects, Kenneth Allison (24 YOA) of Little Rock, was previously arrested on one count of Breaking or Entering and Theft of Property.  Allison has now been linked to three additional crimes that took place during the same time frame on 12/25/14.  
 
In addition to Allison, an accomplice has been identified as Erica Torres (24 YOA) of Little Rock. Information and evidence suggests that Torres accompanied Allison as he broke into cars, stole items from them, and helped him sell the stolen items.  
 
In addition to the previous charges, Allison is also now charged with three additional counts of Breaking or Entering.  Torres is charged with four counts of Breaking or Entering in the case. Both Allison and Torres are currently incarcerated in the Pulaski County Jail on other charges and will be transferred to the Saline County Jail upon their release there.

On 12/25/14, at approximately 2:30 am, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to the area of Stonewall Dr. on report of a resident in area observing a suspicious person in the area trying to open car doors. 
 
Upon officers’ arrival, they located a subject walking in the area of Palimino Drive that matched the description given by the caller.  They made contact with the individual, identified as Kenneth Allison (24 YOA) of Little Rock, who gave officers conflicting stories about what he was doing in the area.  A wallet that was reported stolen from a vehicle in the area was found in close proximity to Allison and he was positively identified by the original caller as the suspect seen trying to open car doors.  
 
Allison was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Saline County Detention Facility for processing without incident.  Allison was charged with Breaking or Entering and Theft of Property.  This is an on-going investigation and additional charges could be possible.
